Initially, HAVAL was a sub-brand of Great Wall Motors.
In 2013, Great Wall Motors announced a new promotion strategy and the transformation of HAVAL into an independent premium brand.
Already in 2015, Haval presented 17 car models, 5 power units and a prototype chassis to accommodate a hybrid power plant at the Shanghai Auto Show. The brand is not reducing its ambitions to move forward and conquer new positions in the global crossover market.
Haval H6 has been the undisputed leader in sales in China in the crossover and SUV segment for several years (2012-205). This achievement is even more impressive if we remember that Chinese cars are traditionally much less popular than cars of European, Korean and Japanese brands assembled in China. For example, in the segment of sedans and hatchbacks, cars from Chinese brands do not rise above the second ten in the sales rankings.
In the Haval model range, new urban crossovers of the “H” series, small urban compact cars of the “M” series appeared, and real frame SUVs remained, for example the Haval H9.
